Start with what you want to change
Write down two or three things that would make daily life better. Some are practical, like more storage in the kitchen. Others are about how the room feels, like a calmer bedroom.
Gather what you already have
A floor plan, a few photos of the space and your town are the best starting points. Add inspiration images if you have them, with a note on what you like about each one.
Talk honestly about budget and timing
Share a comfortable budget if you have one, or say you need help understanding what things cost. Mention important dates, such as a housewarming or a wedding, and leave room to discuss what’s realistic.
Ask how the work is organised
Ask what the design service includes, who handles execution, how fees and approvals work, and what happens if something changes along the way.
Leave with a clear next step
Before you finish, check what information is needed next, who will follow up, and what you’re being asked to decide.
